Our offices are based in Perth and Brisbane are places of inclusion, respect and engagement. Every team member has an important role to play and every staff member is valued.

David Shephard (1940-2012)
Founder

Our Founder, David Shephard, began his property development career in 1970, building home units, single residential homes, offices, factories, warehouses and residential subdivisions. In the 1980’s creating quality residential communities became his focus. David’s unerring drive for quality and dedication to long term vision combined to create the culture that characterises Okeland. Today, his legacy and vision to create special places for people to live their life, lives on through his sons and the Okeland family.

Adam Shephard - Managing Director
Responsibilities: Group Management, Strategy & Finance

Adam became Managing Director in 2007. He has had over 15 years experience in the property and finance industries. Adam is an Australian Chartered Accountant (ACA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia and a MBA from the Melbourne Business School. Prior to joining Okeland in 2001, Adam was employed with Babcock & Brown in Sydney.

Cameron Shephard - Executive Director
Responsibilities: Business Development & Acquisitions

Cameron joined the company in 1995. Cameron has responsibility for overseeing the company’s project operations as well as handling business development and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and a Post Graduate Diploma in Property from Curtin University. He is also a licensed Real Estate Agent.

Peter Dawes - Consultant to the Board
Responsibilities: Corporate Governance

Mr Dawes has had more than 30 years business experience as a Director of his own Perth based manufacturing business, which under the leadership of Mr Dawes became a national market leader in the supply of sporting garments. Peter's relationship with Okeland began in 1987, when he had overall responsibility for project management and marketing of the company's projects until becoming a non-executive director in 2007.

Bruce Wooldridge - Chief Financial Officer
Responsibilities: Financial Management, Reporting and Compliance
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Business and is an Australian Chartered Accountant (ACA). He has significant experience in senior finance roles in listed companies and in the public accounting arena. Prior to joining Okeland, Bruce held senior management positions with Alinta Limited. Previously, Bruce was employed as a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he accumulated over 12 years of local and international commercial experience, covering a wide range of industries.

Craig Graham - Project Director, Perth
Responsibilities: Bullsbrook, Kingsford Project – Operations and Development

Craig joined Amex in 2018 with over 15 years’ experience in the urban residential development industry.  Prior to joining Amex, he spent 10 years working as a Senior Development Manager with Peet Limited leading large multidisciplinary teams on the planning and delivery of large scale master planned projects and was a member of their Western Australian Leadership Team.
